Viraj's journey began with a commitment to learning programming, which provided him with a solid foundation for his future ventures. After honing his skills, he joined a startup, where he played a vital role in helping the company raise an impressive $1.2 million in funding. This experience not only gave him practical knowledge about the inner workings of a business but also opened his eyes to the possibilities that entrepreneurship offered.

Fueled by ambition and a desire to create his path, Viraj launched his own venture last year. Taking a gap year from traditional education allowed him to fully immerse himself in the entrepreneurial landscape, focusing on building innovative solutions and impactful businesses. This decision to prioritize his entrepreneurial pursuits reflects his commitment to personal growth and his belief in the power of hands-on experience.

Viraj's second venture, Course Compass, has also seen tremendous success in the recruitment space, recently raising a round at a $500,000 valuation. The company is quickly gaining traction in matching skilled students with job opportunities. In its early stages, Course Compass has already facilitated internships for 1,000 students, with 200 successfully transitioning to full-time roles. This achievement underscores Viraj's dedication to not only upskilling young professionals but also ensuring they find meaningful career placements. He credits much of this progress to the efforts of Abhishek Giridhar Bhat, Rohit Pilgonde, and Sai SreeKanth S, who have played crucial roles in the company’s development.

One of his most significant accomplishments came with the launch of Course Compass, a platform dedicated to connecting students with internship and employment opportunities. Under Viraj's leadership, the company achieved remarkable success, placing 1,000 students in internships, with 200 of them securing full-time jobs. The impact of Course Compass on young professionals is evident, as it empowers them to gain practical experience and navigate the competitive job market confidently.

In August, Course Compass was recognized as the Best EdTech Company of the Year at an event hosted by the Global Triumph Foundation. This accolade not only highlights the effectiveness of the platform but also underscores the dedication and hard work of the entire team. Such recognition serves as a testament to Viraj's vision and commitment, redefining what it means to be a leader in the education sector.

Viraj's journey has not been without challenges, but each obstacle has only strengthened his resolve to succeed. The experiences he gained from both his time at a startup and his own ventures equipped him with valuable insights into entrepreneurship. He understands the importance of perseverance, innovation, and the willingness to learn from setbacks.

In addition to his achievements, Viraj recently received the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award at a ceremony organized by Clusters of Achievers and India School Awards. This recognition served as a reminder of how far he has come and the impact he has made in such a short time. The journey has been both humbling and inspiring, motivating him to continue pushing boundaries and striving for excellence.

Reflecting on his experiences, Viraj emphasizes the importance of mentorship and community support. The guidance he received from industry leaders and peers has been instrumental in shaping his path and helping him navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship. He believes in the power of collaboration and seeks to uplift others as he continues his journey. The award was proudly presented by Ashneer Grover, adding a special touch to the recognition and celebrating the startup's exceptional achievements in the media industry.
